DIGICALL AUSTRALIA
Brackenbury acquired Digicall Australia in 2002. Brackenbury transformed the Digicall retail network into a profitable, efficient retail business under pinning the growth of the Vodafone brand in Australia and accounted for over 25% of Vodafone connections.
Under Brackenbury ownership, Digicall grew to $150 m + turn over, operated 90+ Stores and employed over 500 staff nationally.
In 2009 Brackenbury sold the Digicall operations to Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) to enable the newly merged entity to take direct responsibility for the management of all Vodafone-branded retail outlets.
RED MERCURY
Red Mercury was established by Brackenbury in early 2006 as a specialist Business to Business telecommunications sales company. Red Mercury partnered with Vodafone as an outsourced business direct sales partner for Vodafone. Red Mercury rapidly grew market share with the full support of Vodafone in the Small and Medium Enterprise and small corporate segments. At its peak, Red Mercury’s field sales team grew to 60 strong covering all major eastern States and South Australian markets, generating revenues in excess of $10 million. Brackenbury sold its interests in Red Mercury to Management following the merger of Vodafone and Hutchison in Australia.
ALLANS MUSIC / AUSTRALIAN MUSIC GROUP
Brackenbury acquired Allans Music, Australia’s largest music products retail business, from Roland Corporation and other private investors in 2005. Established in 1850, Allans Music has for generations been one of the leading and most recognised players in the music products industry.
In 2010, following the successful turnaround of the business operation, Allans Music was merged with the Australian Music Group (AMG) to form the largest combined wholesaler and retailer of music products. Brackenbury subsequently sold its interests in AMG to Revere Capital in June 2012.
GREAT BRITISH APPAREL
Great British Apparel (GBA) was established by Brackenbury in August 2009. GBA brings under licence to Australian and New Zealand shores, leading edge British Fashion Houses.
GBA distributed Peter Werth exclusively through Myer, carefully selected leading menswear specialist retailers and its own retail store. With its roots in north east London Peter Werth first launched in 1975 starting off as a specialist in knitwear and then fast becoming a unique sharp contemporary menswear label. It produced a comprehensive smart/casual collection that covered all product areas, footwear & accessories and a super cut tailoring collection.
ACCESSORY SOURCE
Based in Hong Kong, Accessory Source provided specialist fashion accessory design and sourcing services to a number of well known Australian retailers and international fashion brands.
